Blue November (A Séance)

Blue November (Robert Florczak)

It was early in May near the Pentecost day,
She appeared at my door-it was winter no more.
And she loved me so well through a warm summer spell;
But like autumn leaves fall, she passed on after all.

Now it's a blue November,
Blue as the moon and cool as the crystal Light.
It's a blue November,
But there's something that tells me she's here tonight.

Well, I should have been wise to those mystical eyes
When she told me the moon would be taking her soon.
Now one year to the day, I can still hear her say:
"On this night light a flame to the chant of my name"

It's a blue November
Blue as the moon and cool as the crystal Light.
It's a blue November,
But a feeling inside says she's here tonight.

Oh, something is here in the room
Making the candlelight play;
Shadows dance by in the gloom.
I feel like I'm floating away.......

Now the room's filled with light.
Spirit: "I am with you tonight"
I am too weak to stand.
Spirit: "I will hold out my hand"
Fear runs deep like the sea.
Spirit: "Cross on over to me"
But how will I return?
Spirit: "You'll not want to return!"
